Web Designer Position
PI Magazine, www.PImagazine.com, with several other associated Web sites including www.PIgear.com, www.PIbuzz.com, and an online bookstore seeks a talented full-time web designer able to multi-task and work under deadlines. Looking for an experienced person with verifiable web design and site management skills.
 
Job Responsibilities: 

Manage and daily update several Web sites. Design static and Flash banner ads to promote Web sites and online advertisers. Should know and use the latest in Search Engine Optimization techniques to promote the sites.
 
Qualified candidates must possess the following:

• Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
• Should be Mac and PC literate.
• Complete proficiency in web technology is required, including a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, FTP, and so on.
• Must have web design experience using Dreamweaver, Flash, HTML and Search Engine Optimization experience a plus.
• Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and experience with the rest of the CS Creative Suite.
• Strong communication, project management, prioritization, and organizational skills required.
• Knowledge of graphic design print production, layout, and printing processes a plus
• Must have creative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• The ability to work conceptually and envision projects from scratch is a must. Storyboard and concept art skills are a plus

Graphic Designer Position
PI Magazine, an 84 page glossy magazine and Web site with several other associated Web sites seeks talented full-time graphic designer (Freelance applicants will be considered) able to multi-task and work under deadlines. Looking for a graphic designer with magazine page layout experience. Web design skills and big plus.
 
Job Responsibilities: 
Layout of bi-monthly magazine from concept to final product, ad design, logo design, promotional materials, web-updates, and web banners. Would also manage and update several e-commerce Web sites using HTML and Databases.
 
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
• Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
• Should be Mac and PC literate.
• Must have page layout and web design skills with portfolio to back it up.
• Must be proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
• Must have web design experience using Dreamweaver, Flash, HTML and Search Engine Optimization experience a plus.
• Knowledge of graphic design production, printing processes, database management, and desktop publishing.
• Strong communication, project management, prioritization, and organizational  skills required.
• Must have creative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
