Editorial Themes for 2010:

PI Magazine does not select specific themes for our six issues each year, but we welcome articles on the following general themes:

  • The business of running an investigation agency (employment issues, payroll, taxes, sales, marketing);
  • Investigation specialties: criminal defense, civil, fraud, surveillance, due diligence, forensics, technology (Internet, computer, database and case management)
  • Unusual investigation topics---"one of a kinds" with instruction on how to get started
  • Legislative and legal issues relevant to investigations and investigators;
  • Training and educational topics and opportunities;
  • Local, regional, state, national and international association news

  • In addition, we have other regular featured sections on a variety of topics:

  • PI Perspective
  • Process Serving
  • Gadgets and Tips
  • Calendar of Events
  • Wrongful Conviction
  • Economics

  • Features on investigators or agencies are rarely used in PI Magazine. Suggestions about those who have significantly impacted the profession are welcome, but please do not send a manuscript without first querying the editor.

    Please review the "Query Hints" and "Writer's Guidelines" sections on this website before submitting your query to editor@pimagazine.com
